Shipment Update

Hi Backers,

The shipment to the US is 2 days away from New York, from where it will be taken by road to Washington state where Gamerati, our US fulfillment partner is located. They will process the shipment into individual parcels and ship them out to our US and Canadian backers. 

The shipment to the EU will reach Felixstowe in the UK on the 3rd of September, from where it will then travel to Greece where our EU fulfillment partner is located. 

The shipment to Australia/New Zealand was bottle necked due to a massive backlog of shipments. It has proved to be quite challenging and largely out of our control because of the cascading effects of Corona. Our freight forwarder could not book passage via sea freight, postal services also have been suspended to Australia for some time now, as such it is being sent via air freight. It is currently undergoing customs clearance in India following which it will be airlifted to our fulfillment partner in Australia. 

Shipments have begun

Hi Backers,

All COVID restrictions were lifted on Monday 4/7/21.We are pleased to report that our freight forwarder has started collecting the various consignments. It should take approximately 4 weeks for our fulfillment partners to receive the rewards following which they will ship them to you.

Prepping to Ship

Hi Backers,

We have had a gradual relaxation in restrictions since the 14th of this month. Non-essential services are allowed to function with reduced staff and with restricted timing. We are working with freight forwarders to get the consignments out as soon as possible. Things are progressing a bit slower than we would like with the shipping agencies. We think this is perhaps because of the backlog of work that resulted from the long lockdown and its restrictions.  Please bear with us a bit longer and your rewards should be leaving our facility shortly. 

The kits are ready

Hi Backers,

All the kits are packed and ready in their cartons.   

Shown in the picture above is just one part of the consignment. 

            Unfortunately we have had an extension of our lockdown from the 24th to the 7th of July as we have only just passed the peak and infection rates are slowly dropping. The lockdown restrictions are even harsher than the previous lockdown as the virus spread here has been apocalytpic and has resulted in a total breakdown of our health care system.  As such only essential services are allowed.  We were fortunate that we received all the packaging materials from our vendors just before the lockdown. The only thing pending now is to source shippping pallets on which to stack the cartons which we are finding difficult to do under lockdown conditions. 

We are also operating alone, as those team members whos work permits them to work from home are doing so, those involved in production are on furlough

            Just as an example of the difficulties the lockdown is imposing, one of our workhorse lasers broke down two weeks ago due to a bearing wearing out. It is a simple matter of swapping out the bearing with a new one, however due to all non-essential services being shut it is proving impossible to source a spare. We are only thankful that the failure happened after production was fully completed.

Once again, thank you for your patience, understanding and support. The shipments will go out as soon as restrictions are lifted. 

Progress

Hi May Backers,

Had made this same update 2 days ago which got sent only to the backers for the Feb rewards. Reposting for everyone now:

Some updates on progress:

We have finally received the printed instructions from the printers. We faced a significant delay in receiving the instructions as the printing agency was forced to close early on a daily basis and operate with reduced strength due to the COVID curfews being implemented.

All that remains now is to insert these instructions booklets into the packed kits ( around 1500 kits)

Due to massive increase in daily infection rates,  we have now entered a total lock down which is scheduled to last for at-least two weeks. Only essential services are allowed during this time.  It was tough but we had to send our employees to their hometowns.

Although, we are fortunate enough to live in the same building as our workshop and therefore we will be able to continue the work, but without the support of our team who are working from home.  We are also fortunate that 98% of the production was complete before the lockdown.

We will use this lockdown to get the shipment ready and once restrictions are lifted we will be able to ship both sets of rewards. We apologize for the delays and thank you for your patience and understanding.
